Requesting Additional SMTP Relays for Your Server

By default, dedicated and Virtual Private Servers (VPS) have a limit of 1,000 SMTP relays per day. However, if you can provide a legitimate justification, we can increase the limit.

The following sections describe the information we need. Read through them before contacting us to increase your relay limit.

Newsletters and Marketing Campaigns

  • Provide a brief explanation about your newsletter or marketing campaign. For example: "Every Monday I send a newsletter to all of my customers."
  • Provide the maximum number of relays you need per day. If you do not provide a specific amount, we will default to 5,000 per day.

    Note: We will not provide any server unlimited relays per day.

  • Provide a sample copy of the email message. The sample may be included in your response or you may post the message to a web page and provide the URL. This content must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.
  • Ensure your newsletter or marketing campaign includes an opt-out link in the message. If your message does not include an opt-out link, we will not increase your relays per day.
  • Please carefully review Section 11 of our Universal Terms of Service Agreement, which sets forth our anti-spam policy. Then, you must include the following line, verbatim, in your support request: "I have read, understand, and will abide by your anti-spam policy."

Email Usage

  • Provide the approximate number of email users you have or plan to have on the server (the number can include future users).
  • Provide the maximum number of relays you need per day. If you do not provide a specific amount, we will default to 5,000 per day.

  • Please carefully review Section 11 of our Universal Terms of Service Agreement, which sets forth our anti-spam policy. Then, you must include the following line, verbatim, in your support request: "I have read, understand, and will abide by your anti-spam policy."

Once you've collected the information we need, you can contact customer support to increase your relay limit.
